In a recent one on one interview with Vibe magazine, the former Murder Inc. Hip Hop artist, Jar Rule revealed a project in the works with his former boss, Irv Gotti.
Following the success of Straight Outta Compton, everybody is trying to get a piece of the pie (as they should) and also, bring to light the stories of the uprising of Hip Hop most controversial and epic rap groups. Murder Inc. is the latest to join this list with a partnership from Paramount Pictures to let the world know all about their brand, business and what it brought to the game, culture, the music scene, lifestyle and etc., of Hip Hop.
The media biography of Murder Inc., will be a TV Drama Series. Ja Rule will be one of the executive producer as well as Irv. Gotti. He didn't reveal too much but announced the project.
"It's a great project, and we're telling the Murder Inc story in-depth," Ja Rule explained. "It's going to be a drama series, and we got Paramount as a partner."
Prior to that, Ja Rule announced another project called Follow The Rules which he is executive producing also. Ja expressed how he thinks and feels the Murder Inc., story is important to the history and culture of Hip Hop. He talked a little about what the movie Straight Outta Compton brought to the table and how the Murder Inc., story needs to be told too.
Ja went on expressing how the TV Drama Series needs to be broadcast on one of those cable channels because it's going to get real.
"We're looking to be placed at one of the channels where we can act crazy like Showtime or HBO. It's got to be raw and uncut."
He pointed out how Murder Inc., was the only Hip Hop label to raided by the feds (Hmmm, should he be proud about that?) and they made gangsta history by getting locked up and enduring federal charges.
