New Movie Trailer: 'Aladdin'

Disney released the first trailer for its live action movie, "Aladdin."

Aladdin is an animated classic which premiered in 1992.

Earlier this week, Will Smith previewed the first marketing poster for Aladdin and revealed he would be playing the Genie. 

The trailer opens up with a sky view overlooking the desert of Agrabah and the instrumentals of 'Arabian Nights.' Aladdin and his voyagers approach the tiger headed Cave of Wonders and are instructed by a mysterious voice saying, "only one may enter here." Aladdin goes into the cave and... well you just have to see the trailer for yourself.

The upcoming flick is directed by Guy Ritchie and its featured stars: Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott playing Jasmin, Nasim Pedrad, Marwan Kenzari as Jafar; and more.

Aladdin is scheduled to hit theaters on May 24, 2019.

Ryan Coogler Signs Deal to Write and Direct 'Black Panther' Sequel

As Ryan Coogler signed a deal to write and direct the sequel to Black Panther. Imparted by The Hollywood Reporter in an exclusive article.

"Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the filmmaker behind Marvel’s landmark Black Panther has quietly closed a deal to write and direct the sequel."

Black Panther was a blockbuster hit and grossed over $1.3 billion globally. The storyline inspirited the Marvel comic book character T'Challa, who is king of Wakanda. In the film, T'Challa takes his throne as his father's successor and encounters several trials and tribulations along his journey as king. One of them was Erik Killmonger played by Michael B.Jordan.

There's been conversations and inquisitions about a Black Panther 2. It was speculated that Ryan Coogler would direct the sequel.

"In the weeks prior and after the film’s February release, both Marvel and Coogler’s camp were hounded about when a sequel deal would be inked"

Disclosed and reported by THR, Coogler is indeed directing and penning the next chapter of Black Panther. Ryan Coogler was patient and took his time with closing a deal for the sequence to Black Panther.

"Typically, a filmmaker is more than willing to quickly sign on for a follow-up, and a studio is eager to snap up a key piece of talent in the lead-up to or right after a successful opening. But Coogler’s camp shook off the peer pressure and took its time in making a deal, which occurred under the radar some time ago."

Production for the film is set to begin between 2019 and 2020.

In the meantime, Ryan Coogler is advancing developments for a new flick called Wrong Answer with Michael B. Jordan. Coogler also, wrote the upcoming Creed II movie. Collaborated with LeBron James, as the executive producer for Space Jam's epilogue.

50 Cent Inks Multi-Series Deal with Starz

Getting his shine on, 50 Cent inked a multi-series deal with Starz, estimating to $150 million dollars.

In "Power" Season 5, 50 Cent killed off his character Kanan and this is the rebirth. Sourcing an exclusive article from Variety, Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson secured the bag furthering his business relationship and alliance with Starz.

The multi-series deal with Starz entails a four year commitment and the development of newly scripted and unscripted ventures, spearheaded by 50 Cent's  G-Unit Film & Television, Inc. In addition, the agreement also consist of a three-series commitment as reported by Variety below.

"The deal represents a significant increase to Starz’s investment in Jackson, executive producer of drama series "Power." It includes a three-series commitment, the addition of a dedicated development executive, and a discretionary fund for use in developing G-Unit projects."

Facilitating his G-Unit Film & Television, Inc. and his role as an executive producer, Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson is now the eye behind the camera as a director for Power Season 6.

Combining his street smarts and experience as a former OG, along with his acumen of being agile in a boardroom, 50 Cent proposed his initial vision and plans for Starz.

"When I sat down with Chris [Albrecht, Starz CEO] and walked him through my plans for G-Unit Film & Television going forward, he let me know I was essentially requesting the biggest deal in premium cable history,” Jackson said. “I am excited to announce that we’ve made that partnership between myself, G-Unit Film & Television and Starz/Lionsgate and we will continue our proven track record of breaking records and delivering unique content for audiences around the world … Get The Strap."

His acquisition with Starz, provides Curtis Jackson to scale all platforms managed by Starz and general input of distribution and authorization of G-Unit Film & Television, Inc label and its content, disclosed by Variety below.

"The agreement provides Jackson and G-Unit access to the full breadth of platforms operated by Starz and its corporate parent Lionsgate. It also gives Jackson input into the merchandising and licensing of brands and content developed by G-Unit."

Starz CEO, Chris Albrecht corresponded about the multi-series deal, expressing his satisfaction with 50 Cent and what he brings to the table.

"Both on screen and off, Curtis has proven that he can deliver content that our viewers want to watch. He is the real deal, and we have given him a real deal, with what I believe to be among the most significant deals to date for an Executive Producer in premium television. We’re pleased to expand our relationship and consider this the beginning of many new and exciting ventures to come."

50 Cent and Starz are currently developing "Black Mafia Family" (B.M.F) project, inspired by the Big Meech autobiography and "Vanguard," a storyline of an ex-Navy seal coming to terms with the genesis of his gangsta and keeping it G with some drug cartels.

Trey Songz Stars in New "Blood Brother" Flick with China Anne McClain and Fetty Wap

Trey Songz is the lead actor for a new movie titled, "Blood Brother."

It's a crime drama with a storyline of four friends that made a pact as blood brothers. The four of them rob an armored truck and during their escape, one of the friend stayed behind and took the fall for the robbery. Time goes on, Trey Songz matures and becomes a cop. His homie gets out of prison and unlike Trey, he remained a criminal.

Below is a description from the film.

"When an ex-con takes murderous revenge against childhood friends whom he believes let him take the fall for a crime they committed together, one of the friends, now a cop, risks his life to stop him."

Produced and directed by: Lionsgate, Codeblack Films and WWE's W Studios. The flick also stars: Fetty WapChina Anne McClain from Black Lighting, Tanee McCall, Hassan Johnson; and WWE's R-Truth.

Blood Brother is scheduled to premier On Demand streaming services November 30th.
