Stüssy Celebrates Jamaica and Their Culture for New 2016 Spring Ad Campaign

For their new 2016 Spring Campaign, Stüssy tributes Jamiaca by celebrating the country's people and culture. 

Those women look like brickhouses and stallions from eating all that curry chicken. There's no need for butt-shots ladies, get some Goya and curry chicken in your life and you'll be good to go! (And of course, get your squat game up.)

But anyhow, back to this Stüssy ad. 

The spring 2016 campaign ad was photographed by Tyrone Lebon in Jamaica's most visited and tourist city, Kingston and Port Antonio.

The Stüssy Jamaica's campaign ad is called "International Stüssy Tribe" and features different people styled and modeled in the brand's attire and clothing. 

Jamaica has always been a major inspiration for Stüssy and their fashion line. 

Stüssy's Jamaica 2016 Spring ad camapaign is part of a yearly themed series of promotional ads, featuring different countries and cities. Prior this one,  Stüssy presented Los Angeles and Tokyo.

Bathing Ape To Release Its Own Fragrance

In a couple of days on March 5th, Bathing Ape is set to launch their own fragrance. The Japanese label stays true to its culture with the scent of their new fragrance, which consist of sandalwood. 

Bathing Ape grew popular in Hip Hop and streetwear. The brand manage to take characters like Hello Kitty, create and design tee shirts that are appealing to customers. With this new fragrance, Bathing Ape utilized their logo for the construction of the bottle which is also transparent. 

The fragrance available for pre-order on the French store website Colette.com and as stated above, will hit the market on March 5th.

Target to Launch Marimekko Collab Spring/Summer Collection in April

Marimekko in the fashion industry are skilled for their unique, distinct and detailed graphic prints. Recently, Marimekko collaborated with Target for a new spring collection line consisting of: swimwear for women and girls, selected household items, furniture and camping items. 

Maija Isola is a chief designer and veteran for the brand with over 30 years of service. Isola worked behind the scene with Target, to create over 200 pieces for their new collaborated spring collection. 


The Marimekko-Target line will launch and be in stores on April 17th.

Spring Trends: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star '70 - Embossed Floral

Converse released a newly designed spring edition of their classic Chuck Taylor All Star '70. The sneakers are called Embossed Floral and come in low and high-tops. 

The Converse Embossed Floral are constructed in black leather with matching soles for the lower version and white soles for the high-tops. Both sneakers are patterned with a floral embroidery that's etched into the sneakers.

Embossed Floral features a thick midsole for arch support.

The sneakers can be worn based on a person's indivudual style and fashion sense.

Converse's Embossed Floral can add spice to anybody's wardrobe and put some pep in their steps.

Graffiti Artist Goes From Tagging Gucci Inspired G Logo in NYC's Walls to Designing For Gucci

A graffiti artist who goes by name GucciGhost also known as Trouble Andrew, went around spray painting and tagging the walls, beverage recycling dispensers, dumpsters and etc. in his neighborhood. The tags are his own creative styled Gucci G logo pattern. 

Regardless of where GucciGhost was, he would find a canvas and tag it. While he was in Jamaica, he left his artistic inspired Gucci imprint. 

Trouble Andrew was recruited by Gucci as one of their creatives to design and engineer a few collections peices for their 2016 spirng line. GucciGhost encountered new canvases in the forms of jackets, bags, furc coats and etc. to paint on.

The pieces that were designed by GucciGhost appeared on the runway during New York Fashion Week. 



And exhibited graffiti inspired fashion. 

As well as alternative creativity in fashion design. 

GucciGhost signature graffiti tag gave high fashion a classy street look. 

Also with Gucci's 2016 spring accessories' collection.

In a recent interview, Trouble Andrew was question about what captivated him with the brand Gucci and he replied:

 "'Life is Gucci’, ‘Real Gucci’ and all these things that represented positivity – almost like Gucci is the ‘God of fashion’ and that’s what the ‘G’ represents to me."


Trouble Andrew will continue to work with Gucci and be part of their innovation in fashion.
