Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing Teams Up With Nike to Create Soccer Inspired Collection

Spreading his wings to multi-task his creativity in fashion, Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing has teamed up with Nike to launch a brand of high end, luxury collection which was inspired by soccer. Cristiano Ronaldo who is Rousteing muse to market the collection, is featured in some of the ads (along with other models), exhibiting various images of what looks like an opera of soccer in fashion Balmain form. 

The new Olivier Rousteing and Nike collabo showcases Balmain's signature black and gold paneling and details for their latest creation. The collection is for both women and men which brings some touché in sports, due to its competitive nature. 

NikeLab x Rousteing consist of remastering some of Nike's classic desings such as: N98 Football Jacket with embroidery detailing, also the NikeLab N98 Jacket and NikeLab Top.

In addition, the collection features sneakers which were also inspired by soccer (more like le football as the French would say) and they are: the Roshe Tiempo VI, Footscape Magista, the Free Hypervenom 2 and Free Mercurial Flyknit.

Olivier (sounds so sexy in French) is featured in some of the ads that were photographed by Nick Knight, where he is channeling his inner soccer player and kicking a ball, as in scoring a goal (the world at his feet per se). 

The Football Nouveau collection brought to you by Olivier Rousteing and Nike Lab will hit the market online and at participating stores on June 2nd.

Google Links Up With Levi's To Launch World's First Ever Smart Garment

Pushing the culture and business of technology forward, Google has teamed up with Levi's Commuter of the Levi's brand to launch the world's first ever smart garment. Their introductory release is The Jacquard, Google Trucker Jacket with multi-touch sensors embedded into the fabric of the jacket, that are programmed to behave like a GPS and give directions, provide information of surrounding areas, answer phones calls; and even switch the music. 

The jackets' main properties are the Jacquard by Google technology (partnered with Levi's) that are woven within the Levi's' fabric of it. Levi's Commuter provides unique collections for urban cyclists and their main purpose for collaborating with Google, was to create a garment to assist cyclists on their bike adventures. Instead of stopping to use their mobile phones, a cyclist can connect their phone to The Jacquard, maintain their flow of riding while changing the songs they are listening to and plug into other services by tapping the sleeves.

The Jacquard by Google and Levi's are scheduled to hit the market next year for their 2017 Spring collection.


Gucci's 'Ace' Embroidery Collection Sneakers for Autumn 2016

Gucci pre-released their latest 2016 Autumn shoe collection called 'Ace,' which displays craftmanship in embroidery. The Ace sneaker collection are constructed in white and black leather and Gucci's signature fabric print. They come in various styles and designs. Some are detailed with spikes, pearls and Gucci's different color flags. 

Of course, the main features on Gucci's newest line of Ace sneakers are the tapestry of decorative and sleek embroidery.

Some of the sneakers are adorned with gold, has a hardcore biker motivated appeal to them and trimmed in silver, to give it a beaming effect. 

Gucci's Ace collection (which can be viewed below) are already on the market for women and men, they come in sizes 4-12 and priced at $535 and up. 


A-Morir's Eyewear Lookbook for Autumn 2016

Inspired by the ‘90s Riot Grrrl movement and her expeditions in the Middle East, Kerin Rose who designs accessories, magnetized the inspiration to create a collection of majestic A-Morir eyewear. 

Kerin Rose's resumes includes different works and contribution of her vision in fashion, towards many different projects. She recently worked behind the scenes in wardrobe for Rihanna's music video for 'Work and Missy Elliot's 'WTF'' music video


The autumn 2016 A-Morir collection channels the queen in all women and the goddess of their spirits. A-Morir's lookbook collection features model, Nyamuoch Girwath showcasing remarkable facial poses, wearing different eyewear in a brilliant gift box-themed presentation. The lookbook was photography by Jared Ryder and make-up by Jenny Smith for Nars.
