The track is off Alsina's forthcoming sophomore album "This Thing Called Life," which will be released in a couple of months.

On the song, August gets raw with his emotions lyrically as he reflects about certain trials and tribulations he encountered in his life: losing those close to his heart, enduring and overcoming suicidal thoughts, trying to make his mom proud and even going as far as buying her love; and the journey of becoming who he is today. Keeping the rhythm of his flow, August Alsina throwbacks a line from HOV's same titled classic song.

"I can’t hold back these tears / Let me cry / They say a man ain’t supposed to cry / So I’ma let the song cry."

And even drops a very powerful, profound poetic line.

"Every rose needs to rain sometimes."

Lawd! May God continue to bless his pen!

The song was produced by Brandon 'Bam' Hodges and features different elements of sounds, including the electric guitar.

Beyonce Honors Nicki Minaj In Prince Cover 'Darling Nikki'

Posted On: October 27, 2015

Talk about some women empowerment and sisterhood! Especially how society displays women as being catty and petty towards one another. This is a good look for the music industry and society as a whole.

Lets get into it!

'Darling Nikki' is a twenty three second clip video of behind the scenes footage of Beyonce and Nicki Minaj practicing for last week's TIDAL X:10/20 concert. The visuals captured the professionalism of two musicians and the bond of friendship between Beyonce and Nicki Minaj. The Queen Bee acknowledges and tributes Nicki's crown as a Rap Queen, although there's been many Hip Hop Queens before Nicki, you can't deny the levels she has reached. Nicki Minaj made history and continues to do so as the only woman featured and listed on Forbes' reigning Cash Kings. Others might of paved the way, but Nicki found her own yellow brick road.

The mini clip video depicts women empowering one another, not being intimidated, jealous nor envious of each other's ambition, goals, dreams and success. But to honor and tribute one another with love, recognition, a hug; and even sing a little to one another like Bey did for Nicki.

Check out the footage below.

First Lady, Michelle Obama and LeBron "King" James have recently collaborated on a new project together to promote social activism in education. The two philanthropist are joining forces to foster a new program called “Better Make Room,” to help students nationwide achieve their dreams and education goals.

It also extends towards job training and trade school.

During the press conference of the announcement for Better Make Room, the First Lady elaborated on the mission of the program.

"The idea behind Better Make Room is pretty simple. We want to create a space where young people can engage with each other, where they can inspire each other to complete their education beyond high school,” Michelle Obama stated. “Because the truth is that right now, that space really doesn’t exist in our popular culture.”

Better Make Room is part of Michelle's Reach Higher Initiative in her effort towards social activism for a better America. During the press conference, the First Lady expressed Lebron James' position in the program and his vision to motivate young America in obtaining their goals, dreams and etc. after high school.

"LeBron is investing so much in you guys because he knows that you’re worth it."

She continued with her speech and made a statement about James' leadership.

“We love this man because of the man that he is, not because of the athlete he is, Michelle expressed. “He is a role model.”

Better Make Room is also part of King James program, LeBron James Family Foundation which is a non-profit organization that assist college student to acquire their degrees.

“The impetus is upon me to make sure that each and every person in this organization understands that when we speak of community, we’re part of the community,” Fitzgerald stated. "The police department [is] an active member in the community and we’re to make sure that each contact that we have with each and every individual that we see is positive.”

Joel Fitzgerald has several degrees from Harvard and Northwestern with studies dealing with criminal justice. This is not the first time he has made history as being the first African-American police chief, which he previously has done in Pennsyvania, Texas and Missouri.
