Inspired by a classic, Reebok and TDE's general, Kendrick Lamar combined creative skills for their third capsule collection. K-Dot and Reebok's collabo is very special and I truly admire how Kendrick has this deep purpose within him and we constantly see him making withdrawals from it, to refine society and create a better world for the future. Kendrick and designer Ian Paley of Garbstore, took the Reebok Classics and composed a layout to pattern them with a purpose.
The third Reebok Capsule collection by K-Dot are constructed in an all leather upper, off white midsole and rubber, gummy outsole. In an effort to call upon peace and unity, the sneakers are a representation of the Bloods (Brotherly Love Overrides Oppression and Destruction) and the Crips (Community Revolution In Progress) to walk together in solidarity of truce, to cease fire; and become leaders of uplifting, restoring and build their communities.
Both sneakers, the left and right are designed in different colors. The right shoe is accentuated in a Collegiate Royal to symbolize the Crips, the left shoe is highlighted in an Excellent Red to exemplify the Bloods. The colors are stitched in the middle of the sneakers indicating the two gangs, engulfed in neutral colors to harmonize the detailing of the shoe. K-Dot's emblem of the letter "K" is sewed on the outskirt of each pair.
The Kendrick Lamar x Reebok Classic collection are available for men, women and children.
Scheduled to be released on July 1st at selected stores and online. Ranging in price of: $42-$110 USD.
