Channeling inspiration from the movie Mad Max: Fury Road and the character Imperator Furiosa played by Charlize Theron, 'W Magazine' latest issue features Rihanna as a post apocalyptic queen. The setting for the cover shoot highlights grey, black and smoky fiery backdrop. Riri graces the cover glamoured in Cartier diamonds, adorned make-up and claims the throne with her bedecked Cartier crown.

The W Magazine cover spread was styled by Edward Enninful and featured custom made pieces by Christian Dior, Prada, Manolo Blahnik, Hood By Air, Maison Margiela and Gareth Pugh. The September 2016 'Collectors Issue' was photographed by Steven Klein and captured Rihanna's ruling aura as a queen who reigns.

This is not Rihanna's first time being on the cover of W Magazine, she's graced several cover spread for the magazine, featuring dramatic concepts, couture wardrobe, sophisticated fantasy and enchanted styles; and out of this world photo-shoots.

As the creative director, Edward Enninful expressed the vision and direction for the W Magazine cover spread was futuristic and involved grandeur imagination. That indeed it is, check out the lookbook below displaying images from the Rihanna's W Magazine 2016 cover spread.
