New Mixtape/Soundtrack: The Game - 'Block Wars'

Posted On: August 01, 2016

The Game released the soundtrack/mixtape for his new upcoming gaming app, "Block Wars" and markets the mobile gaming service.

Block Wars consist of 10 tracks and one feature, Lorrine Chia. The mobile app game is still in development with The Game being Atari's new ambassador and no release date has been announced yet. Block Wars' soundtrack production was composed by Goodguydez, Jelly Roll, Bongo and SAP.

Game was inspired by his hometown Compton and the street life of its community to create the storyline, setting, characters; and plot for Block Wars. In doing so, he created the gaming app based on the culture of Compton to entertain by turning a negative into a positive (shift of energies).

"I’m loyal to Compton and will always shed light on my city."

The Game also, is part of a televised documentary about life in Compton called "Streets of Compton" on A&E with different seasons and episodes. The purpose of the documentary is to bring awareness about the drugs and gangs which plagues the city of Compton and how it motivated people like The Game to make a difference, and rise above it all. Detailing images and testimonies of people to showcase that not everybody from Compton bangs or slings that rock, and how its a community where people are willing to make a change for the better.

"We tried to educate people with my documentary Streets of Compton, so they could walk away with a little more knowledge than they had before."

Factoring all of this, The Game created and developed Block Wars.

"Now, here’s another light in the form of a gaming app and some new music for your entertainment."

Game announced he will be touring soon and hit the pavement in promoting and marketing his new gaming app, as well as this new soundtrack/mixtape for Block Wars. His "1992: Block Wars Tour" hits the road on August 26th, performing in Oakland and The Game's curtain call will be in Portland on October 6th.

Aside from the music, The Game is evolving into a leader that invokes the power of innovative change and shifting of energies through: unity, empowerment, healing, acts of philanthropy; and humanitarian services.

Mixtape Review: Meek Mill - '4-4 Part 2'

Posted On: February 08, 2016

By now, we all know about the whole Meek Mill and Drake beef from last year (2015). Beef in Hip Hop are usually good on wax and assist in the development of a Hip Hop artist's elevation and improvements with their: lyrical skills, deliverance, wordplay and formatting/sequencing their bars.

Drake took a couple of jabs at Meek with his tracks and the timing was off for Meek's rebuttal. Fast forward to the first month of 2016, Meek Mill officially made his comeback and resurrected himself with a new mixtape titled, "4-4 Part 2." The main track on the tape 'War Pain'  featuring Omelly, rebutes his beef with Drake and Meek lyrically cooks it up on wax. The song was produced by Ben Billions and Danny Boy Styles. In War Pain, Meek gets his beastmode on and sets the mic on fire. The instrumentals has some church, choir like sound effects, even with the hook. It's gutter and has all the elements in song production for the streets.

4-4 Part 2 has only four tracks on it but the mixtape in itself makes noise and vibrates speakers. The first song 'Fa Sho' featuring T. Dot Illdude was produced by Mando Fresh and introduces possibly keyboard or piano keys sound effects. T. Dot Illdude comes through with the hook and resembles Future's voice. The song makes several fashionable references and Meek lays his lyrics down.

The second track 'Ricky' has no features, with production from Chopsquad. The song's curtain opens up with an opera like sound effect and Meek Mill comes on paying homage to Lil Snupe. Meek gets a little spiritual on the track about redemption, forgiveness and the battle of good and evil.

The tape continues with features from Future and Dave East in the song called, 'Slippin,' produced by Beat Bully. The track is an inspirational song and what transcends it, is how Meek took a negative situation/experience and like an alchemist, turned it into something positive. He also utilized his experience and drew strength from it to motivate and inspire himself and creativity. Meek took all of that and blessed his fans with Slippin' to motivate and inspire them also.

Beef in Hip Hop has taken on a different level due to social media. Meek was able to endure all those memes made about him, this was not only on the mic and wax but it became a public spectacle of disrespect at some point, and the disloyalty from some of his fans. Meek Mill still managed to make a comeback from all of it, went in the studio and dropped some heat. The song Slippin' and the mixtape exhibits the character of Meek and his strong spirit to overcome and succeed against all odds. And also, how to draw strength from struggles.
