JR Castro has another calling in film productions, cinematography and acting, one has to wonder if he is listening to God because the visuals for his R&B banger, 'Get Home (Get Right)' was his vision. Castro recruited Mark Klasfeld and Timbaland to assist him with producing and directing the short film for his music video, which was released in the summer of 2015.
The visuals are inspired by the video game Grand Theft Auto (GTA) and takes viewers into first person mode of the character JR Castro is playing on the screen. The video is equipped with amplified sound effects, digital cinematography and creative special effects. It's action packed with several locations for the setting, a storyline, different characters and the roles they exhibit (for ex: JR's female goons). Although Castro is the main actor in the short film, he also worked behind the scenes in the direction of the video.
The DJ Mustard production song for the video features Quavo and Kid Ink who assist lyrically and with the hook. JR Castro stepped out the norm when it comes to music video, this was indeed different and unique, the visuals has a 3D vibe to it, movie credits rolled at the end of the video and it was well produced. It puts viewers into the shoes the character JR is playing and who knows what other visions he has because he was able to bring this one into fruition.
