Lil Wayne is finally dropping his anticipated LP "Tha Carter V" and announced a release date for the album. This will be Weezy's 12th studio album and to celebrate his accomplishments, Tha Carter V will arrive just in time for his birthday.
"On my birthday, I actually have something special. I will be releasing Tha Carter V on my birthday," Lil Wayne revealed.
Weezy continued, with his announcement statement by expressing his gratitude to his loyal fans.
"Y’all hung in there with me, so I can’t do nothing but thank y’all for all the love and all the passion and every ounce of anything."
The album was previously pushed back and postponed for several years, resulting from a legal court battle with Birdman and Cash Money Records. Since then, the two parties have resolved their legal issues with proceedings of Lil Wayne being released from his Cash Money Records contract. In addition, Weezy and Birdman squashed their personal and business beef stemming from their legalities. Reunited in their brotherhood, Birdman issued an apology to Lil Wayne during the TIDALXWeezyana fest this past summer in August.
Moving forward, Tha Carter V album announcement featured a special announcement video. Which can be viewed below.
Tha Carter V is scheduled for release later this week on Friday, September 28, 2018. A day after Tunechi's birthday on the 27th.
